7th annual Warrior Competition kicks off in Jordan

AMMAN, April 20 (ChinaMil) -- The 7th Annual Warrior Competition kicked off in King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center in Amman, capital of Jordan, on April 19, 2015. The five-day competition has attracted 37 teams from 18 countries.

  At the opening ceremony on April 19, the Jordanian special operation forces held an anti-terror drill and the 37 teams from 18 countries including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, China, Russia, the U.S. and Canada also appeared respectively.

  The Chinese team is made up of 14 members from the special operation units of the Beijing and Guangdong contingents under the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF).

  The Chinese team will take part in all the competitions of 11 major events including "street assault", "hostage rescue", "desert extreme shooting", "cross-country extreme shooting", etc. The Warrior Competition is known as the top international special force contest. China was invited to participate in the Warrior Competition for the first time in 2012 and won the fourth place in the team events that year.
